HBM's objective is to provide the community with a multi-service, multicultural center with a primary purpose of developing individuals through the mind, body and soul. We are conveniently located to serve the Houston, Missouri City and Pearland areas.
HBM is committed to identifying community needs and providing solutions through education, service and hard work. We seek to strengthen the community through programs designed to unite business, religious and academic sectors for the benefit of all.
OUR HISTORY
Heartbeat Ministries, Inc. (HBM) was founded in 1986 by Lionel James Keys and incorporated in 1987. Throughout his life, Mr. Keys
closely identified with being in need and serving the community wholeheartedly.
Through his service as a military police officer in the U.S. Army, a 25-year police officer with the City of Houston, certificates and
accreditations in public service, 28 years as Senior Pastor of Bethel Praise & Worship Center, husband and father, provided him with
the empathy and sense of outreach people who were destined to make a difference often possess.
Through Mr. Keys' longstanding desire to help those in need, as well as his extensive experience with beings hands-on and immersed
in surrounding communities, the foundation of HBM was developed and inspired by God, family and all of the people he met along the way.
We are honored to carry on with his vision and to make him proud.
OUR SERVICES
HBM is comprised of multiple service organizations that specialize in implementing strategies and tactics that reinforce the mind, body and soul. These service organizations approach all tasks with a sense of empathy and from a position of strength. All individuals in the community will be served with education, training, artsw, athletics, as well as business and life skills training; all in an effort to identify and develop current and future leaders.
